We have designed our curriculum around
the belief that students will be most likely to learn English at the levels
necessary to use it in life, work and travel if they learn it in a situation
where the classroom effectively creates an atmosphere like that one would
encounter living and operating in an English speaking country.
This being said, it would make sense
to create this environment in a classroom situation that ideally has between
6 to 10 students maximum and is either as affordable as or less expensive
than any other language center in the area. We sincerely feel we have done
and continue to do that and more.
We are very proud of the fact that
we do not require students to pay for their English course a year in advance
as many do. Nor do we contractually obligate them to take classes at our center for a determined amount of time. If a student decides that
our program is not for them, they can leave at any time with no penalty.
We do this because we feel strongly that, if we strive to create a program
that is superior to that of other programs, we do not need to require
any thing more of our students than their attendance, motivation and willingness
to learn.
We do start students in our program
as early as 3 years old capitalizing on the fact that children are literally learning-sponges and that this is the
best age for them to start learning. It is genuinely exciting to see how capable these young learners are. We teach
classes with students from this young age up to that of adults of all ages and abilities keeping within the same
philosophy of reduced class sizes and affordable prices.
One last note we would like to mention with regards to our classroom
philosophy is that of our 'ENGLISH + ACTIVITIES.' Considering the fact that
English should not taught entirely with text books, we try to use books as
secondary supplements and not as a foundation for our classroom curriculum. We
are always looking for new ways to teach English in a manner that teaches English
to our students as they would living in an English speaking country.
We currently utilize a library of more
than 1000 supplementary activities in our classrooms habitually. We are
constantly adding new lessons and material which help us achieve our goal
of creating the ideal English speaking environment. We also use active
video and internet activities and projects in manners appropriate to the
age group we’re working with.
